Concert Tickets Now on Sale
Tickets are also on sale for:  Stuntapalooza Arena Cross event which takes place on Saturday, July 12th; Canadian rock legends Loverboy perform on August 6th at 7:00pm, Kenny Rogers “Live in Concert” which takes place on August 12th at 8 pm and NHL pre-season hockey game between New York Islanders and Florida Panthers slated for September 27, 2008 at 7:00pm.
 
Want to avoid waiting in line for tickets? Buy your tickets for Credit Union Place Events on line at www.city.summerside.pe.ca.  Box office hours of operation are 7 days a week from 12 noon to 8 pm or by phone at 432-1234. All tickets ordered by phone or over the net are available at the information desk two hours before the start of the event.


Harbourfront Jubilee Theatre
Stacey Earle & Mark Stuart are performing at The Harbourfront Jubilee Theatre on July 11, 2008.  Show starts at 8:00pm.  Tickets are $18.00
 Bruce Rainnie and Kendra MacGillivray will be on stage at the Jubilee on July 12 at 8:00pm.  Ticket are $20.00

Wyatt Heritage Properties
Concerts in the Garden will return for the eighth summer.  Anyone who enjoys the Island music scene is invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket and be part of the audience.  Admission is by donation. Wyatt’s delicious homemade ice cream is offered for sale during intermission.  Concerts begin at 6:30pm

Other Activities and Events
The Summerside Farmers Market will open its doors to the public on Saturday, July 5th.  The market is located in the historic Holman Building in downtown Summerside and is accessible from the back entrance of Dominion Square.  The market is open to the public every Saturday between 9am and 1pm.


Cross Currents:  500 Generations of Aboriginal Fishing in Atlantic Canada is at the Eptek Art and Culture Centre all summer.  The exhibition is produced by the Canadian Museum of Civilization which features over 130 artifacts, replicas, models, maps, video and other multimedia components.  Open 9 – 5 daily, 12 – 5 Sundays.  Call 888-8373 for more information.

A Wine and Arts Festival will be hosted in Summerside July 10 – 12th.  This first time event will feature wine tasting of over 100 wines from around the world, art exhibits and demonstrations, wine bards, live entertainment and much more.  Event packages are available.  For information and tickets, please contact 1-888-748-1010 (or in Summerside 888-2200 and in Charlottetown 629-2321).


On September 10th the TALL SHIPS will arrive in Summerside to race for the first time around PEI.  On September 11th at 12 noon the cannon will fire and 7 ships will begin the race.  The race will take between 36-70 hours traveling 360 nautical miles around our Island.  TallShipsPEI.com

Credit Union Place
Summer Camp will be held on a weekly basis from July 21 – August 15th.  Each week has a fun and exciting theme.  Food and Beverage services are available.  Phone the Credit Union Place for more information 432-1234.
Red Cross Summer Day Camp from August 4th – 15th.  The 10 day camp includes boating and JOC (junior outdoor camp).  Busing provided at designated areas.

Private swimming lessons are available on Wednesdays and Fridays from 3 – 3:30pm (as well as other options).  Parent and child swimming lesions are offered for the first time on Saturdays at 10am and Tuesdays at 9am.  Lifesaving training courses begin on July 7th.  Please phone 432-1234 to register for these programs.


Bowling Lanes are open daily 1:00pm – 10:00pm bookings can be made by calling the lanes at 436-4578 or 432-1234.
